Why Choose TRG?

Flameproofing isn’t just a business for TRG - it’s a reflection of our entire approach to Fire-Life Safety. Fire Protection is like a puzzle - every piece has to be accounted for and in the proper place for the puzzle to be complete. Flameproofing is a core element of Fire Protection - not just another required rule, regulation or code that has to be satisfied. Flameproofing actually works.

FLAMEPROOFING IS ONE OF THE MOST CRITICAL BUT OFTEN OVERLOOKED METHODS OF FIRE PROTECTION!

We are keenly aware that you have choices when it comes to choosing a flameproofing specialist. So we will give you Five Good Reasons that working with TRG is the right choice!

  1. We Pre-Inspect the Project. It’s not just a matter of pride, it’s a matter of practicality. We want to make sure that when we quote you a price, scope of work, and length of time to complete your project, we are not overcharging you or over-promising on our performance. TRG believes in the Pre-Inspection Survey. We need to see the items we are treating, measure them, determine what types of surfaces or fabrics are involved (different surfaces require different chemicals), figure out accessibility, discuss scheduling and your ideal work times, and finally, determine what equipment and the size of crew we are going to need. We do not work off of another provider’s “specs” because we find they are too often incorrect, and we do not “re-negotiate” for a higher price once we show up if the “specs” were wrong. A quoted price is a quoted price. That is the fair way of doing business. Even small jobs need a plan and with TRG, that starts with the Pre-Inspection Survey!

  2. 24/7 Service. We work when you want us to work. We adapt to your schedule. If the best time to provide service is on the overnight when the property is quiet and we are not disrupting your operations or interfering with building occupants, then that is when we will work. If the best time to do the treatment is on the weekends, then that is when we will work. If you need us there at in the middle of the day because your operations are primarily at night - we will be there. We will always accommodate your needs and your schedule.

  3. Professionalism. For every job we have a plan. From the first contact, until the day we hand over the report and certificates, the process is handled in a professional manner. Every job, regardless of the size is planned out. The TRG team shows up on time, with the proper equipment, looking professional in clean and neat uniforms. Every job begins with a safety briefing, a check of PPE, a review of the chemicals being used on that job, and the scope of work. A walk-through will be conducted if necessary. Then jobs are assigned and equipment is issued. Only then will the work begin. 24 hours later the Flame Testing is completed and the following day the Flame-proofing Certificates and the Flameproofing Report is provided.

  4. Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance! Imagine a painter leaving dust, dirt and debris on the surface and then just painting over it all. The results would be a mess. The paint would not stick and eventually it would delaminate and peel off. The surface would be rough, and the appearance of the paint job would be unsightly at best. Just like the professional painter who understands that any paint job is only as good as the surface being painted, TRG knows that dust, lint, dirt and spills and other debris on curtains, wood beams, upholstery, or any surface can impede the absorption or adhesion of flame retardant chemicals. This could result in impaired performance in a fire. All surfaces are inspected, vacuumed, and/or cleaned prior to treatment. There is a right way to do the job - and that is the TRG way!

  5. We Don’t Cut Corners. There’s an old adage - “the true mark of a professional is what he or she does when nobody is looking.” While it is very easy to dilute chemicals, stretch treatments with a lighter spray, focus more attention on the accessible parts of a curtain, or not adequately remove surface dust and debris prior to treatment… TRG sets the standard for professionalism. Every job and every client is treated with the same respect and professionalism that we would expect ourselves. We arrive quietly, we work quietly and efficiently, we leave quietly. Everyone is focused on doing the best job possible. No blaring music or loud conversations, no shouted instructions, no joking back and forth or horseplay from the crew. Drop cloths and covers are used to protect floors and furniture, windows and glass are protected from overspray, our equipment is clean and well maintained, everyone is wearing proper PPE, and the professionalism is evident. That is the TRG way of doing business.
